Pixel Topo

Eric Stein

Pixel Topo, by Eric Stein, is a sculpture made of wood that captures light and shadows to portray pixels. A pixel is a single, minute point in a digital screen display. A collection of pixels makes a graphic image. It is appropriate that this piece finds its home at the corporate headquarters of Serigraph, a cutting-edge printing company. “Pixel Topo” was installed at Serigraph in 2002 after displaying in Chicago at the 2001 Navy Pier Walk. Stein received his MFA in painting from Ohio University and resides in New York. Serigraph purchased this piece as a part of its art collection.
