Bison in Continuity

Kent Hutchinson

Inspired by Unberto Boccioni's 1934 Unique Forms of Continuity, Bison in Continuity is a life sized steel close formed piece.  The oxidized steel creates a bronzy patina . The piece also pays homage to importance of Bison to Wisconsin's Native American Culture including the Potawatomi, Menominee and Oneida Nation. Bison were present in the state of Wisconsin until their extirpation in the 1830s.
